Description of the Virtual Workshop
The CRST Examination Preparation Course is designed to help participants prepare for the challenging Canadian Registered Safety Technician examination and pursue the CRST professional designation through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals.
This instructor-led virtual course covers examination strategies and focuses on subject areas that are likely to be important for the examination.
The course consists of four sessions of four hours each, providing a total of 16 hours of live instruction.
The CRST examination blueprint identifies 64 competencies within five broad categories. For this course, the competencies have been reorganized into nine study modules:
- Safety Fundamentals
- Auditing
- Ergonomics
- Fire Prevention
- Health and Wellness
- Law and Ethics
- Hazards, Risks and Controls
- Occupational Hygiene
- Risk Management
Course Materials

The CRST Examination Study Manual contains more than 540 pages of detailed study material.
Course materials will be provided electronically and made available online shortly after registration.
Technical Requirements
Participants will attend the virtual classes through Zoom or Microsoft Teams. A reliable internet connection, computer or tablet, speakers and a microphone are recommended.
